Mandy Zhang Art | Jin Han “Celebration”
From November 11th to 18th, 2025, Mandy Zhang Art will present artist Jin Han's solo exhibition "Celebration" in Shanghai. The exhibition will gather the artist's important painting creations and the latest series of works from the past three years, and will be held simultaneously with the Westbund Art&Design
In Jin Han's creation, painting is a manifestation of energy. He regards natural phenomena, the order of the universe, and the flow of human emotions as manifestations of the same 'force' - an 'ether' that cannot be captured by the naked eye but continues to operate among all things. Artists attempt to explore these hidden rhythms through the creation of paintings, and use painting as a medium between spirit and matter.
In the past three years, Jin Han's creations have evolved from " Cloud Atlas" to "Snow Crystal", and then to the newly exhibited work "Celebration", forming a thread from natural observation to spiritual abstraction.
In the " Cloud Atlas" series, he depicts the flow of energy in the form of clouds, attempting to reconstruct a visual order of fluid through the interweaving of color and structure; In the "Snow Crystal" series, the hexagonal snowflake shape became the medium for him to explore the relationship between order and chance, science and mystery - those complex geometric images, both like natural crystals and like visual echoes of cosmic microwaves; In the latest "Celebration" series, these image experiences have been further refined and elevated. Artists transform the decay and explosion of stars into symbolic rituals of light - a silent celebration that releases energy in silence, responding to the passing and rebirth of life.
"Celebration "is not only a new series title, but also the convergence point of Jin Han's creative vein in recent years. It continues his contemplation of "ether" and "energy", while shifting painting from natural representation to spiritual presentation. The light, and form in these paintings not only point to the vastness of the universe, but also reflect the inner world of humanity - a meditation on existence, time, and distance.
The "celebration" of Jin Han is not a noisy carnival, but a silent ceremony. That is the gaze of light, the listening of silent energy, and also the artist's response to the contemporary human situation - to rediscover the temperature of perception and the return of spirit in the seemingly calm universe.
