Ray Gallery is honored to announce the inaugural exhibition of our space, "Radigenalogy," from July 1st to August 30th, 2024. The exhibition will be divided into two phases: the first phase, "Mapping," will be on view from July 1st to July 9th, and the second phase, "Reflection," will run from July 10th to August 30th.

Art history has often been described as having a shape, not in the sense of an institutionalized or industrial historical paradigm, but in the visage presented by the wholeness of knowledge and humanity. Beneath the shape and visage lie propositions and pathways. The first segment of the exhibition, "Mapping," features works by 21 artists. These explorations in painting, spanning a century, coalesce through perception, imagination, or intuition into a historical spectrum and fundamental context we can grasp. The second segment, "Reflection," presents works with diverse themes and techniques, reflecting the artists' keen responses to new cultural atmospheres. "Mapping" and "Reflection" both reflect the current complex situation and question our vision, responsibility, and methods as a gallery institution. Looking back at over half a century of Chinese painting history, this exhibition centers on one question: how do we understand the freedom of art?
