“Symptom Nomad”

Scorpion Gallery is proud to Present the group Exhibition ’Symptom Nomad’ from on May 27 to July 12.This exhibition features the works of thirty artists，who use the path of magical realism to open a dialogue between imagination and reality，guiding the viewer‘s attention to the absurd and eccentric state of the fluid world similar to that of Marquez‘s writing.The participating artists include Jin Han，Chen Lulu，Liang Xinghao and Shang Siqi.

The word ‘Symptomatic Reading’ benefits from the psychoanalytic doctrine in Althusser.In fact，the reader，through a face-to-face hypnotic conversation with the patient，works through the dispalcements，disconnections，and omissions in the patient’s presentation，grasp that absence of experience they are covering up。In addition，nomadism also suggests the non-deterministic and polyphonic roaming and generation of the work.So the question is，who is actually reading？And who are the patients？The exhibition‘Symptom Nomad’ uses the creative mediums of painting and sculpture as a thread running through the exhibition, juxtaposing different visual languages in the space of ancient architecture.
